The Bizz - Home

The Bizz is a Gloucester based registered charitable company dedicated to helping young people in the local area and the wider community.

At present we are looking for a new home for our activities as our current building '66 Star Youth Centre' has been closed and is up for sale. It is in need of major refurbishment for which we have been unable to raise the funds. We are concentrating our resources on providing activities, mentoring support and emergency help for young people in crisis

We are a registered charity in partnership with Gloucester City Council and have the following objectives:

To offer quality support to young people aged 13-24, which will help them to develop and achieve their potential.
To encourage young people to have a full and participative role in the planning and implementation of the centres programme.
To support young people in accessing advice and information, which can improve the quality of their lives.
To offer accreditation to young people as a means of recognising their commitment to various Youth Work projects and activities.
Enable young people to feel safe and have the freedom to fail without being judged or labelled.
Provide activities through sports, games and outdoor pursuits, which will give diverse choices to young people in promoting healthy lifestyles.
To work with agencies to raise awareness and explore issues associated with alcohol and substance use.
Develop and deliver cross- community cohesion projects which enable young people from various communities to meet and explore each others cultures, environments and life styles.
